Art

This is where I experiment with free form patterns and creative art tools. I feel these practices help me keep exercising my brain to be imaginative and explorative. While there is some imagination that goes into recreating what we see around us, we also need an aspect of science to translate that on paper.

Snowflake (Beauty can even be discovered in the smallest of things. This was my first venture into using Autodesk Sketchbook)
Totem (A hand sketch inspired from a scene in the movie Inception)
Shodō (While I was in Japan, I took a lesson in Japanese calligraphy. This kanji stands for Ninja and the letters on the left spell my name in Japanese. It is interesting to imagine how different ways to make a stroke can leave different impressions.)
Crossleg-Crossdimension (Made this on a rainy day while sitting in a café. Just funny to at least partially feature in your own hand sketch)
Fireworks (I have been a big fan of fireworks and as a kid some of my favorite memories was to watch the illuminated sky with my family. I tried to recreate those scenes using MS Paint)
Did somebody say vacation? (I like travelling and this work was made using a 3D stylus. It’s usually tricky to balance the center of gravity and thickness/firmness of body parts, but was an interesting challenge to work upon)
3D printed Peacock Feather (My first ever 3D print back in my undergrad)
Ripples (Out of all natural elements, water is the one that fascinated me the most. This work was an experiment to recreate a liquid’s refractive and wavy appearance in 2D and that too from top view using Autodesk Sketchbook)
Blooming in the Inferno (Some things continue to stand in their glory even in the harshest of times. The fact that this work recreates smoky burning background without explicitly drawing fire makes it special. This was made using Autodesk Sketchbook)
SushiMe (A glance at the Sushi making that I did with some of my friends in Tokyo)
Shades of me (My attempt at body figure sketching on my old Samsung Galaxy Note 5.)
Striker for my carrom board (Lost a peg in my carrom set, so decided to take a shot at making a new and shiny one using laser cutting)
